Alaska House in Northern Missouri... How On Earth??!!

God has a funny way of working in our lives sometimes. Alaska House started out as a simple idea - a nice gathering place. Purchased in 2006 while on a trip through Missouri, Alaska House and the historic 1917 (now renovated) building that houses it have become the center of Bruce and Licha Kelley-King's world. Bruce has spent endless hours working to make a vision come to life, and we have been thrilled and blessed with the response from the people of Chillicothe. There were times when it looked hopeless. Times when others thought they should quit, but Bruce and Licha hung in there.

The results are truly outstanding. Take a few minutes to go through our site and drop Licha a line and let her know what you think of the new building!

We are pretty proud of our Bruce! As his daughters, Kim & Jamie say, "Bruce is in the amazing business!"

Alaska House began as a desire to create an establishment with a quality environment and a special "historic" atmosphere to host parties for groups, weddings, reunions; a place to hold conferences and club meetings; a place for a romantic dinner, cabaret entertainment, a specialty supper club - just to name a few. But, we have grown to be much more than that!

Now, we also provide catering, feature goodies from our bake shop (pssst... we have fresh cupcakes!), host special dinner club events and community events, and serve as a Bed & Breakfast. Last but not least, the Alaska House Mercantile is a unique shopping experience with gifts and keepsakes you may purchase and take home to remember your visit here.

Located in downtown Chillicothe, Missouri, within an easy walk from the town square, Alaska House is suitable to fit the needs of any group - large or small. Come in sometime, have a cup of coffee and let us tell you about it. We would love to be your choice for your next gathering. We offer a variety of different cuisines and we're sure we can work some magic in the kitchen to tempt your taste buds! From finger sandwiches to a sit down dinner we'd love to talk to you about what your plans are. Take a few minutes to fill in our contact form with any questions you might have or just let us know what you think of our website, we're glad you came to visit!
